One and Only Reethi Rah

'Reethi Rah' means beautiful island. And the name almost says it all...for the white sand coves and turquoise bays are enhanced by One & Only's chic, very private and sublimely luxurious resort.

The resort is only 35km from the airport at Male' In the North Male Atoll. A 75 minute luxury launch ride directly to and from the terminal allows guests to stay as late as possible on the island before leaving for their flight.

Accommodation

Beach Villa (79 sq.m) With views directly from the double bed onto the private stretch of beach. Decor is sleek with clean lines, a perfect foil for the tropical wood and thatch exteriors. A two-sided shaded veranda (26sq m ) overlooks the beach, with outside table, seating area and sun bed.

Beach Villa with Pool Chic decking edges the villa and there is an outdoor pool, shower and day bed. Beach Villas have an outdoor covered area of 26 sq.m, plus 60 sq. m uncovered, with a rectangular private pool measuring 21 sq.m, shaded by tropical trees and stretching towards the ocean.

Water Villa Built on stilts over the lagoon with sundecks and netting suspended from the deck providing the opportunity for sunbathing over the water.

Fanditha - Dining with your feet in the sand and enjoying the ocean views, Sands is set on the northern tip of the island and has a chilled ambience. Guests can laze on divan-style bolsters and Arabic carpets, on driftwood loungers or in woven hammocks. The aroma of homebaked bread is in the air and guests can choose from a wonderful range of healthy but filling chargrills and salads. Open for lunch and special functions only.

Rah Bar - Next to the main pool and aimed at swimmers and sunbathers who don't wish to move far, Edge has an amazing all day menu of healthy salads, wraps and snacks. Low-fat smoothies made with exotic fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of waters and a fresh juice station make the perfect accompaniment. In the evening, it becomes a vibrant cocktail bar with live music, cool martinis, tropical cocktails, sparkling Champagne and a fine collection of aged rums from Indian Ocean and Caribbean islands.

Reethi Restaurant - The main restaurant, on the sheltered eastern side of the island, , set in thatched pavilions over the water. Outside tables run along the decking beside the ocean. The service is immaculate and the cuisine world-class, while the ambience is low-key, tropical and breezy. Floor-to-ceiling glass screens reveal the show kitchen and walk-in wine cellar to diners seated in air-conditioned comfort. An impressive à la carte menu fuses flavours from the Far East, Middle East and Mediterranean into a light, contemporary cuisine – a perfect match for the surroundings

Tapasake - This spectacular over-the-water restaurant overlooks the west beach, so guests can watch the sun set over the ocean. A variety of seating includes the sea-view deck, chef 's table, sushi counter, laid-back sunken pods or romantic, covered deck seating.
