Good diving, excellent beaches and the large lagoon is ideal for watersports. Accommodation is simple in a deliberately unspoilt setting. The island is a lovely superior medium class resort very popular with many repeat visitors.

In the south east of the Ari atoll, about one mile long and 330 yards wide. Transfers are 2hrs 15mins by speedboat or 25 mins by seaplane (at a supplement of £69 per person return for stays Apr 16-Jul 31 or £85 per person return all other periods). The resort a deliberately retained the 'no news, no shoes' flavour which is beginning to disappear from some islands today and allows the stressed visitor to indulge their Robinson Crusoe fantasies to the full in this delightful natural setting!

Interchange facilities If booking a Standard/Family/Superior/Superior 'A' frame room - reservations must be made locally to eat at the Water Village.

Beach Cottage Single storey room, very spacious with outdoor shower and bath, beautifully furnished and located at the beachfront.

Water Bungalows Built in the style of Maldivian house boats on stilts out over the water in a very natural design. Located in the Water Village.

Meals/drinks All meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner in respective main buffet restaurants daily (Island Village: Kaana Kotari; Water Village: Vilu Mathi). Water villa guests can also use the Kaana Kotari Island Village Restaurant. Unlimited tea, coffee and snacks from special snack menu from 3.30pm-6 pm (Island Village guests: Sunset Restaurant; Water Village guests: Water Village café and bar or Sunset Restaurant). All drinks by the glass: selected spirits, draught beer, soft drinks, water, canned fruit juice, and house wine by the glass (premium brands/selected wine/ champagne/minibar not included).
